I can hear the complaining in January now about how Georgia's closing recruiting poorly. The staff got its 13th commitment today from Ft. Lauderdale (Cardinal Gibbons) defensive end Jeremy Longo. It was the Bulldogs' second DE commit in the last few days, joining Griffin's Toby Jackson. Longo is 6-5, 225 pounds. He had numerous offers, including LSU, Miami, Auburn and South Carolina. I watched some video of him and he's very quick, but he's going to have to add a great deal of size, which of course isn't likely to be a problem. He has great closing speed, but he didn't have to play very physically in the video I watched...just run down the ball...Not as easy to do that playing DE in the SEC. Looks like a very talented athlete though.
Here's the updated list:
Cornelius Washington, DE, Waynesboro
A.J. Green, WR, Summerville, S.C.
Dwayne Allen, TE, Fayetteville, N.C.
Richard Samuel, RB/LB, Cartersville
Bacarri Rambo, DB/LB, Donalsonville
Blair Walsh, K, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
DeAngelo Tyson, DT, Statesboro
Brandon Boykin, DB, Fayetteville
Tavarres King, WR, Mt. Airy
Christian Robinson, LB, Norcross
Makiri Pugh, DB, Charlotte, N.C.
Toby Jackson, DE, Griffin
Jeremy Longo, DE, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

Well guys,I would rather be a little ahead than be a little behind on these numbers.
As usual,a few of these will make All American and some will be All SEC and some will just play.
Richt has to get better because the other schools are relentless.Meyer,Fulmer,Spurrier and Saban are not going away.
later,old dawg
