Georgia gains 12th commit

Georgia gained a commitment from Griffin defensive end Toby Jackson over the weekend. That's another good get for Mark Richt's staff, judging by the looks of the other schools that had made offers (Tennessee, Florida, Florida State and Alabama among them). Jackson is listed at 6-foot-4, 240 pounds. He's the Bulldogs' 12th commit for the 2008 recruiting class and second defensive end (Cornelius Washington).

He told Dean he's solid on Georgia, but that he still plans to take visits and listen to what other schools have to say. That reads to me like Georgia's still going to have a fight on its hands to keep him in the fold through signing day. But I guess that's really the way it is with about 99 percent of early commits...

Yep - the word commit doesn;t mean the same today as it did years ago. Why commit if you're gonna still look around?
I wonder what my bride-to-be would say if I said "Yea, I'll commit to you today, but I still want to look around at all the other honey's on the block until I'm sure!"
She just slapped me for typing it. :-(
Hope he sticks with us, I think, maybe, sort of, yes for now...
